Helen Trayle, a native Oregonian, has been a printmaker, portrait painter, and
educator. She began her distinguished printmaking career in 1975, specializing
in intaglio/aquatint etchings and has perfected the process of using a minimum
number of plates, copper, zinc or steel to create her work. Trayle works on a
press in her studio, creating limited edition etchings.
Trayle is a member of the Northwest watercolor society, the Northwest Print
council, the Oregon Watercolor Society and the Lake area Artists and Painters
showcase. Her etchings have been included in numerous national, regional and
local juried exhibitions and are found in several public and private collections
both stateside and abroad.
Helen continues to printmake and teach portrait painting.
