The
Broderick Gallery’s August show brings Cuba to Portland, Oregon via the work
of artists Eduardo Labrada Acuna, Orlando Ignacio Fernandez Merida, and Tomås
Rodriguez Guadarrama.

The
exhibit will mark the second time Broderick has invited Cuban artists living in
Cuba to show in Portland. Each of the artists was trained at the San Alejandro
Academy (the national School of Art), the oldest and most prestigious art school
in Cuba. Labrada is expected to attend the opening in Portland, no small feat in
this time of hyper-restricted travel to and from Cuba.
