On view in June 2001 at the Broderick Gallery

"Red Flannel"
oil, mixed media on paper
30" x 22.5"
Abstract painter, Deborah Cooper Sidlin connects with her audiences'
emotions rather than their reality.
"The paintings are
landscapes, journeys, explosions, portraits, night skies, galaxies - referring not to the
natural world as much as to an inner vision. I interpret real objects using color, line
and texture to evoke an emotional response, instead of a realistic recognition."

"Mary`s Costume"
oil, mixed media on paper
30" x 22"
A celebrated painter, Deborah Cooper
Sidlin comes from an impressive lineage of artists. She has shown nationally in both solo
and group exhibitions. Sidlin's work is found in permanent, corporate and private
collections in the United States and abroad.
This much-anticipated show will be
Sidlin's second appearance at the Broderick Gallery.
